| Abstract | A united information technology (IT) sector is of utmost importance to the future of the IT industry - in Hong Kong as well as China. IT practitioners certainly need better professionalism, more social recognition and more channels to contribute to Hong Kong and China. The organizing Committee of the National Day Celebration Party realises the significance of establishing a united IT sector for the betterment of the future Special Administrative Region government. The National Day Celebration Party was their first milestone event that ushered in a new era of solidarity in the IT industry. A report on the event is provided in this article. |
