| Abstract | At a press conference organised by Friends of the Earth on August 14, 1996, Yangtze River Campaigner Mr Yang Xin presented the findings of his latest expedition to the source of the world's third longest river. Deeply concerned by the growing ecological damage due to desertification and global warming, he is making an appeal for support to establish long-term monitoring stations to collect baseline data and stop illegal poaching. |
