AbstractTeka China is a Hong Kong company established in 1993 to sell kitchen equipment and appliances including refrigerators, dishwashing machines, ovens and ceramic and stainless steel sinks and stovetops. The products are all made in Spain, other European countries, or Brazil and Mexico and imported to Hong Kong . Roughly 10% of what it imports is re-exported to China. Its customer base in the territory is growing fast and in 1995 total exports amounted to more than US$1 million. Teka managing director Eddie Law feels the products will continue to sell well in this area because they are well made and represent high quality at a moderate price.
