Abstract | Information overload of written and electronic media is contributing to health problems, wasted time and additional work stress, according to a Reuters Business Information (RBI) study. Psychologist Dr David Lewis advocated better training to enable people to separate primary information essential to the task at hand from secondary information and improved communications to cut out needless data. In addition, he suggested more effective pre-analysis and filtering of information so that managers receive only what they need to know in order to do their work effectively. |
