| Abstract | Wanchai reclamation though obviously different from the Central Reclamation, is no less complex in nature. It involves the erection of the spectacular roof at the same time other building works are being carried out, including construction of an atrium link to the existing convention centre. On the 6.5 ha of land reclaimed by Leighton Contractors in Wanchai in May 1995, Dragages, this time in joint venture with Hip Hing Construction, is busy constructing the glamorous extension to the Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Centre designed by Wong & Ouyang in collaboration with Skidmore, Owings & Merrill of the US. |
