| Abstract | Germany is one of Hong Kong's oldest trading partners, with links that go back to the last century. The number of German companies in Hong Kong has increased by 20% over the past six years, from 1990-1996. The main porducts imported to Hong Kong from Germany are electrical components, machinery, equipment, chemicals and pharmaceuticals. There has been an increase in the import of fashion goods, but fashion was still not a really signifcant percentage of consumer porducts imported. |
