| Abstract | The fact that companies may need environmental management certification to compete in the global marketplace could easily overshadow all ethical reasons for environmental management. Hong Kong is reeling in the wake of a wave of environmental awareness. But while this wave is not noticeably impacting the quality of life,it is impacting the balance sheets of big business across the territory. It has become a requirement for businesses to address the environment in order to maintain customers, and exist or still better, thrive in an ever more critical global economy. |
