| Abstract | The very existence of quality standards is a disgraceful reflection on the society, say Hong Kong's quality pundits. Society needs to return to the basics. What is the use of teaching the children to labouriously prepared detailed essays, note books and laboratory reports only to grow up and illegally disregard these disciplines at the expense of efficiency and productivity? Either something is dreadfully wrong with people's attitudes or their civilization's greatest achievement lies in breeding pretenders. |
