| Abstract | The electronic and information industries have gained much recognition in recent years by leading Taiwan's economic and industrial transformation and making large exports. A more traditional Taiwan industry, textile machine-building, has also emerged as a force in world markets and helped to polish the image of Taiwan engineering. Conventional knitting machinery is gradually giving way to machinery incorporating computer technology. Taiwan's strong background and resources in computer manufacturing will be an added advantage for its kinitting machinery in the future. |
