| Abstract | Continued slow economic growth apart, the most noteworthy aspects of Hong Kong's first quarter Gross Domestic Product (GDP) figures were the recovery in domestic consumption and extremely fast growth in service exports. Extraordinary growth in services exports helped underpin the external account with dollar-value growth of 21.9 % and 14.4% real growth. |
