| Abstract | The Securities and Futures Commission ("SFC") issued for public consultation a document reviewing the Leveraged Foreign Exchange Trading (LFET) regulatory system in light of experience gained during its initial phase of implementation on 28 August 1996. The review concluded that the LFET regulatory framework has brought a much-needed measure of discipline to the leveraged foreign exchange trading industry as well as greater protection to investors against the previous abusive trading practices. |
