| Abstract | This article features the life of a family who lives in a cave more than 1,100 metres above the sea level, near the top of a mountain in Sichuan province. For the family, life on the mountain is a struggle. Apart from being isolated from the modern world with a lack of transportation, the scarcity of resources up on the mountain always results in poverty. Also, the family has to deal with natural disasters, which may possibly take everything away from them, including their shelters and their lives. |
