| Abstract | The widespread craze for the brew began in the early 1980s, although beer has been made in China since the beginning of the 20th century. But while summer temperatures are rising and the demand for cold drinks is soaring, the beer industry is finding the going hard. Brewery closures and mergers are such regular occurences that, unless they involve a big name, they are seldom considered newsworthy. |
