| Abstract | Take one academic, one lawyer, one flight engineer and mix in an accountant and two sales managers to form the company Knowledge Discovery, the outcome is a tasty piece of software called More Like This. The software uses concepts like words living in "neighbourhoods" - and clustering "neighbours" for searches. It seems like the software actually thinks for itself. According to its inventor, research now shows that even expert researchers will only find about 10 per cent of the information that's out there. With information becoming ever more critical, More Like This promises to improve users' information grab. |
