| Abstract | When China opened its markets, in the late 1970s, it made an all-out effort to attract foreign investment with a view to establishing a modern industry in the textile and clothing field, as in others. China's achievement has been outstanding in this field in particular, and has immensely improved its international image and its trading position. It has in fact become the world's largest exporter of clothing and second largest of textiles. |
