| Abstract | There seems to be many design competitions in Hong Kong these years, and Jewellery Review is interested in the ongoing development of local design talent. We ask how valid in design terms is the "Made in Hong Kong" label, and just how much "local design" finds its way into finished products? Overseas buyers often have design ideas of their own, and one cannot fault any manufacturers who try to cater to his client's needs. In this issue, Norman Siu, a veteran local jewellery designer who is also an Executive Committee Member of the Gemnological Association of Hong Kong is interviewed to express his views. |
