| Abstract | The return of sovereignty of Hong Kong to the Chinese government signifies the end of colonization and the unification of the nation to its original state. Nationalism and Colonialism should be antonyms. However, the condition of Hong Kong is different from that of other colonies, such as those in Africa or America. In addition, the definition of colonialism defies simplifications. This paper aims at discussing whether China will be the new colonizer. |
