| Abstract | In this short essay, the author first makes a few comments on the metaphor of marginality in general. He then briefly considers the marginality of Chinese culture and its relationship to the marginalization of Chinese people in recent world history, before making some observations about the marginality of culture in Hong Kong. At last, he concludes with a review of how marginality is negotiated in texts written by Chinese in Britain. |
