| Abstract | A few months ago, Vietnam published a map of the South China Sea, designating almost the entire region for oil exploration tenders. The "new" tender map clearly demonstrates Vietnam's ambition - to seize all the natural resouces of the South China Sea. Since Vietnam had its nose bruised badly in the Cambodian war, Hanoi's strategy has been to quietly redirect its territorial ambitions grom land to sea. In 10 years from the middle of the 1970s, Vietnam scored the most in grabbing islands in the South China Sea. |
