| Abstract | Shougang Concord International (SCI) has only ever been of marginal interest to the institutional investor. But time has not stood still for the Hong Kong arm of the enormous state steel producer Shougang Corp, which has the stated aim of becoming China's first real multinational. At 1996's Annual General Meeting, SCI announced to all who would listen that it has been restructuring and is shaping up. Given time, this may even turn out to be the case. |
