| Abstract | This article introduces the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) of the Legislative Council, which plays the role of watchdog over public expenditure. It is heavily armed with formal statutory powers. PAC ensures that the findings contained in the Director of Audit's (D of A) reports on the accounts and the results of value-for-money audits of the Government and any organisations which receive income from public moneys are properly considered. |
