| Abstract | News that a partial offer may be on the way for financial services group Sun Hung Kai was preceded by a leak of the negotiations which sent the shares jumping 32.5 cents to $2.725. Trading was suspended on the morning of 30 May 1996 when an announcement said the owners of 33 per cent of the company's capital had received an approach which might lead to an offer for their holding. |
