| Abstract | Sir Percy Cradock claimed that although he has described the Governor Chris Patten's proposals as "fatal", he now totally approves of the present British position because its policy has changed, which in fact, has not changed. Even Cradock's critics still pay tribute to his work over the year when he master-minded Britain's China policy, a recent book, The End of Hong Kong, shows clearly that he was out-manoeuvered. |
