| Abstract | A new container terminal for Maersk Line was opened at Kaosiung Taiwan in May 1996. Double the size of the line's previous terminal, it covers 23.4 hectares at Pier 76/77 and has an annual handling capacity of 600,000 TEUs. It has a 700-metre long berth served by six post-panamax gantry cranes. |
