| Abstract | This article is a good summary of the various issues which Dongfang has been following in recent months. The discussion has admittedly been somewhat academic and influenced by theories fashionable in Western universities, especially American ones, and in particular by the work of John Rawls. This raises questions about the "social realities" and what an academic import which ignores them can teach us about something as resistant to generalisation as Chinese "cultural specificity". |
