| Abstract | In an interview with the press, Chinese Finance Minister Lui Zhongli dismissed the claim that state-owned enterprises in China are inferior to collective businesses, and that collective businesses are inferior to private ones. After stating that this was in fact not true, Liu went on to explain some of the reasons for the loss-making performance of 49.5 per cent of state enterprises. |
