| Abstract | The author applauds the Financial Secretary's Budget, but does find some cause for concern. The implications of the facts, figures and provisions put forward in the Budget speech are discussed. The author focuses on three areas: taxes, financial infrastructure and spending on education, all being important for the long-run efficiency of business, to which the government has solemnly and repeatedly pledged to be most friendly. |
