| Abstract | In the past ten years, reporting of HIV infection has been made predominantly from the public sector. The majority came from Social Hygiene Clinics, which take care of people with sexually transmitted disease, the Department of Health's HIV Clinic and other public hospitals/clinics. Private sector has also reported some of the HIV/AIDS cases. This study examined the characteristics of cases reported by different sources focusing on those from the private sector, an important provider of primary health care in the local setting. |
