| Abstract | The Yangtze Region was found to be relatively unknown to Hong Kong investors. Only 38 firms had investment in the Region and 22.0% of the respondents would consider investing there. The encouraging factors included the Region's huge domestic market, great potential for development, and better labour quality. For those 70.6% firms that would not consider investing in the Region, the major discouraging factors were long distance from Hong Kong, lack of information and so on. Shanghai was considered by 132 respondents as the most favourable location in the Region. |
