| Abstract | In Hong Kong, horse racing is not so much a sport as a nearly universal passion. In Vancouver, it is barely noticed; until recently, horse racing might have had a tough time holding its own against lawn bowls or roller-hockey. Thanks in great measure to high levels of Asian immigrants who have brought over their enthusiasm for the Sport of Kings. |
