| Abstract | The author interviews with some practitioners to comment on the problem of the existing joint and several liability system. Under this system, any partner in any firm may be liable for any negligent acts committed by anyone in that partnership. Thus the fundamental legal nature of local accounting partnerships has always contained the inherent threat of personal financial ruin without personal negligence. |
