| Abstract | Li Po Chun Chambers in Sheung Wan, a 28-storey commercial building designed by architects Wong Tung & Partners Ltd., houses one of the really noble interior spaces in Hong Kong. The site is not ideal. The narrow lot, with buildings on both sides, runs through Connaught Road to Des Voeux Road. What was once the waterfront is now disfigured by a flyover. Ironically, the flyover and recourse to geomancy (fung shui) to counteract it are among the reasons the building has turned out so well. |
