| Abstract | It was George Magnus of Cheung Kong (Holdings) and Eric Waldburger from Hutchison Whampoa who first came up with the "grand prix" concept. To have a one-theme fun pub based on motor sport is revolutionary for Hong Kong. Ku spent a couple of months putting together a design and fitting out began in July 1995. Within sixty days the pub was ready for its soft opening -- quite a feat given the attention to detail. |
