AbstractA 40 to 60% increase in paper, the primary raw material used by Climax, could have spelt disaster for the company. Despite those increases, Climax got away with seeing its profit margin fall only 1% for the year ending March 1995, while the latest interim results ending September 1995, saw the company record a 20.6% increase in turnover and an 18.1% increase in interim profits. Climax managed to avoid the squeeze by using four strategies.
