| Abstract | In any city closing down a few newspapers - if it has that many - would be a matter of public concern. But the effect may be a little different in Hong Kong, this unique and basically Chinese enclave which has 70 or so Chinese newspapers and scores of weekly magazines to offer its 6 million citizens. It is fair to say that while Hong Kong thrives on its highly developed media, difficulties ensue when the media is seriously undermined. |
