| Abstract | Hong Kong's change of sovereignty should provide a much-needed boost to what has been a sagging luxury property market, according to market analysts. This week's government land auction was an early indication of a company gambling on that potentially lucrative market, analysts say. With luxury prices down about 20 to 30 per cent from this time last year, developers and buyers have been keen to find something to be optimistic about; a slow economy and stock market has kept buyers and investors on the property sideline. |
