AbstractThe more than 13,000 written Chinese characters in common usage makes it virtually impossible to design a personal computer keyboard capable of accommodating the characters. To partially overcome this chasm in the market, Lexicus, a division of Motorola has developed a Chinese character recognizer that can identify "cursive" style characters (unreadable ones) that are then transformed into computer characters.
