| Abstract | The debate on how engineering education might change is taking place in an academic scenario of increasing competition and commercialisation. Purists may see this as a disadvantage : Hong Kong is no stranger to commercial competition and those involved should have no difficulty with this aspect, though need to be aware of it. There is a very wide range of matters under discussion, from the integration of "related subjects" into engineering curricula to whether all engineers should take a general engineering degree before specializing. |
