| Abstract | The Grand Royal Club is Sun Hung Kai's first club within a commercial and retail complex. Reflecting a growing understanding of sports and social facilities, their brief to the designers was both detailed and demanding. Elites Design Consultant won the commission perhaps for "their modern classic design," project designer Eric Tang infers. Their original concept studies have a simplicity and appeal that must also have been a contributing factor (and are effective still in the club's promotional brochures). |
