| Abstract | Employment in Hong Kong's manufacturing fell by 14.4 percent in the year ending December 1993. The construction sector also experienced a decline of 6.1 percent in the number of its workforce. There were 483,600 persons working in the manufacturing sector in December 1993, whereas the number of construction workers stood at 55,900. |
