| Abstract | Trisha Leahy has been involved with the Hong Kong Coach Accreditation Programme (HKCAP) since 1992. Since then, hundreds of coaches have become aware of the role that sports psychology can play in the preparation of athletes for competition. Coaches attending HKCAP Level 1 and 2 courses are provided with the basic theoretical concepts of sports psychology. At Level 3, coaches are able to experience some of these concepts in action as part of the practical psychological skills training sessions. |
