AbstractThe Labour Government set-up the Invest In Britain Bureau (IBB) in 1977 as a division of the Department of Trade & Industry. The Foreign Office's commercial and economic section act as the eyes and ears for overseas direct investment. The first direct overseas IBB office was established in Hong Kong by Mr Chris Fraser within the British Trade Commission's office. Chris is the appointed Regional Director for the Asia Pacific Region excluding Japan.
