| Abstract | The RSPCA humanely destroyed over twelve thousand animals last year. Many of these aminals were the results of unwanted litters. Owners often react with horror at the thought of desexing; they feel it is cruel to prevent their dog or cat from reproducing and to subject it to the discomfort of any surgery. Few owners, however, want to take the responsibility for an unwanted litter that results from the mating of two determined animals. |
