| Abstract | The author accompanied Professor Wang Sijing and several of his post-graduate students visited the Three Gorges construction site at Sandouping, Yichang in Hubei Province. They are doing research on "Rock Mass Characteristics due to Stress Release at the Excavated Slopes of the Ship Locks of the Three Gorges Project". The author assisted them in carrying out the rock joint survey and taking photographs of typical features. Finally, they went through the Three Gorges - Xiling, Wu and Qutang - and visited Baimadong, the large limestone caverns in the Xiling Gorge. |
