| Abstract | The Open Learning Institute of Hong Kong was established by statute in Hong Kong in early 1989. While its mode of delivery and entry requirements may differ radically, the objective of the OLI is to provide education of directly compararble academic quality to the other tertiary institutions in Hong Kong. This paper attempts to describe distance education and how it is being practised in a formal way in Hong Kong. |
