| Abstract | For a man trained in a legal discipline, Masaru Iwai made an odd choice. He opted for a fashion job and moved to Hong Kong in 1975. By 1977, Iwai had acquired an interest in Ei-Ei-O, a small Hong Kong company involved in the importation and retailing of fashion apparel and accessories for ladies. Iwai had his foot in the door, and he soon became Chairman and Managing Director of the comopany changing its name to the more felicitous Iwai's International Holdings. |
