| Abstract | At a gathering of Hong Kong deputies of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference held in Beijing last month, CPPCC chairman Li Ruihuan told a story about the Yixin teapot. The story was an analogy: the old teapot was an allusion to Hong Kong, and the accumulated dross an allusion to Hong Kong's free-wheeling capitalist system and way of life, which have evolved over 150 years. |
