| Abstract | Retail sales in Hongkong may be due for a slump, but Giordano probably has enough cash on hand to cushion the blow. This week, the retailing giant released impressive 1994 results, showing profit up 41.9 per cent to $195.34 million -- well above the $182 million analysts had predicted. Turnover surged 22.7 per cent to $2.86 billion, and earnings per share rose 40.4 per cent to 30.9 cents. |
