| Abstract | Hongkong will end the 1995 calendar year with economic growth at close to the government's medium term forecast rate of Gross Domestic Product [GDP] expansion of 5 per cent real. While that is good growth for any maturing service based economy, it comes as a disappointment compared with the government's budgetary forecast of 5.5 per cent and even higher initial forecsts by private sector economists. |
