| Abstract | Previous research shows that depression is a central phenomenological experience of children of divorce. The problem is mainly attributed to the conflict between the parents. The study argued that a search for protective factor is more appropriate, and examined the significance of family cohesion. The findings highlight the importance of promoting family cohesion in addition to the prevention of family conflict in helping the children cope with divorce. |
